Our students come from diverse backgrounds in pursuit of academic and professional goals. To celebrate our international student population, and to highlight the importance of international education for both domestic and international students, we are hosting a week of events in November during International Education Week for students, staff and faculty. One of these events will be a showing os Brief Tender Light, a POV film, which highlights the lives of international students at American universities. We will watch the film with our audience, who will then engage with a panel of international students at various points in their academic lives for a lively discussion about the reality of studying abroad.

Staff will introduce the film and the aspect of American history it discusses, and recommend reading materials for different age groups based on the themes of the film. Library attendees will receive 3D printed incentives for attending the event.
